Dynamic Man (2016)
An epilogue to the Dynamic Construction System project: by interfacing the autonomous and intelligent architectural system with the human body, a new mode of personal transportation can be created. Humans are limited by natural evolution to their limb reach, muscular stamina and speed. The DCP integration gives a wide reach and improved stamina to climb and manouevre around the building. Combined together, a new hybrid allows the best of both systems - biological and mechanised spatial interaction - an alternative to lifts, stairs, floors and ramps.
The Dynamic Man can participate in the climbing effort, reminding himself of what it means to be alive, active and engaged in a challenge.
Or alternatively, he can sit back and relax. The robots know what they’re doing, and as the DCP user guidelines advise, it’s good to ‘be lazy like a fox’.
